She learned a love of cooking from her father as they spent quality time together when she was a young girl. She also talks about working amicably with her estranged husband in caring for their children. She grew up in poverty and was able to overcome it and build a better life for herself and her children. She shares her struggles with bipolar disorder and how she uses the rapid thinking to generate creative ideas. She is learning to focus on one idea at a time to succeed in her business.
