How can you make a difference in your community?  Dominic Obadiah, life coach, food relief provider and tour guide, talks about his efforts in behalf of the vulnerable families in his area.  He sees the suffering of families with special needs in his community.  His goal is to be the voice for the voiceless.  He explains his sustainability program.   When families have land to grow their own food, he provides them with seeds and materials for planting a vegetable tower or box garden.  He also raises funds to provide them with two chickens, a rooster and a hen.  The family can then raise more chickens and use the eggs, sell the surplus and eventually raise enough money to purchase goats.  Now they have milk to use and sell until they can purchase a cow and eventually have enough to not only feed their family, but also pay for their children’s school tuition.  As an educator himself, Dominic knows the value of education in helping families rise above poverty.

He is working in partnership with Lydiah Kerubo Kenyanya as part of the Obwanchani Project.  He has served 237 families so far with his sustainable projects in Kenya.  He was recently awarded the Person of the Year award in Kenya for 2020.

In addition to his humanitarian efforts, he arranges phenomenal experiences for tourists.  In his interview he tells about a the migration of the wildebeests and the excursions he is able to arrange at the Masai Mara National Reserve in Narok, Kenya.

Dominic is truly a caring person and wise man.  Near the end of the interview, he shared his views on race.  In his words, “We are all the same.”  Follow him on Facebook.  https://www.facebook.com/dominic.obadiah.3
